1800 Competitors Briefing in the Figawi Tent adjacent to Hyannis Yacht Club in Veteran’s Park.
Two persons per boat ONLY. This meeting should last about 30 minutes. We will review courses and review the pursuit start format. NO ALCOHOL PERMITTED.

51ST ANNUAL FIGAWI RACE WEEKEND
2022 Race Registration is now open!
Figawi’s core mission is to promote the sport of sailing. Therefore, we are excited to announce that competitive racing is on and better than ever with 2 days on the water with world-class race management.
There will be award ceremonies, Figawi events around the Hyannis waterfront, great racing, the official kickoff of the J. David Crawford High School Sailing Invitational and best of all, the camaraderie that only Figawi can bring!
Figawi 2022 Preliminary Schedule:
Friday, May 27th kickoff event and registration will be held at Hyannis Yacht Club. We have a few great surprises in the works!
Saturday, May 28th and Sunday, May 29th 2 DAYS OF RACING on Nantucket Sound with the starting area and finishing area off the Hyannisport Jetty.
Why is Figawi not returning this year to its longtime tradition of events on Nantucket?
When the decision had to be made about returning to ACK in 2022, the Covid uncertainty was still affecting the Town of Nantucket’s permitting for events. The usual tent venue on ACK had recently become unavailable so it was going to be a year we would have to find a new venue. The choices were slim and all came with a considerable cost and logistics premium.
Will Figawi go back to ACK?
YES! There is nothing like the camaraderie of strolling the docks of Nantucket Boat Basin after a great day of racing. We know how much you all love being there, and we do too! We are already working on a plan for 2023 - Figawi’s return to Nantucket.
How can you support Figawi?
Register for the 2022 Race. Compete on Saturday, Sunday, or both! After the race, head to ACK to enjoy your weekend or to Hyannis for post-race Figawi fun! By participating in the race, you are helping us get closer to the goal of getting back to ACK. Thank you for your support!
